Booking and cancellations
Terms are clear on your chosen on-line travel agency. You are advised to have your own insurance in case of cancellation.
A room can also be reserved by a phone call to 07824845186.
Group bookings and longer breaks are not subject to the terms and a phone call would be best.
I reserve the right to cancel a booking not less than 60 days from the arrival date without any liability for any expenses or consequential losses sustained by the guests. This will only be in unforeseen exceptional circumstances.
 
Data protection.
No information will be passed onto third parties. Credit and debit cards will only be stored for the purposes of taking legitimate payment for services provided. 
  
Parking
Insurers stipulate that parking is at your own risk.
Guest can park their cars (but not book in) 2 hours prior to book in times if they wish to  go for a local walk. Please let us know. Car parking is in allocated spaces.
 
Arrivals.
Please respect book-in times and if you are expected to be late, call for an approximate arrival time. If you are late then respectfully note that other guest may be asleep.
If your balance is to be paid on arrival this will be settled once you are comfortable along with registration. Note that the nearest cash dispensers are five miles away.
 
During the day.
Guests can use designated areas in the grounds and there are areas we are not insured to let you access. The main house is closed outside breakfast time.
 
Pets.
Pets are only welcome with a prior call about suitability. We have a small kennel in the garden available for dogs. Cleaning and removal of waste is essential by the owner, pets are not allowed indoors. There is a charge dependant but not for guide dogs.
 
Grounds.
We hope you will enjoy our working garden with free range chickens, vegetables, greenhouses, orchard and sometimes other animals that might be behind electric fences. There will be parts of the garden to rest and relax if the weather is fine. This includes a yurt, cabin, gazebo and sunny terrace. Certain areas like the yurt can be privately booked for a fee.
 
Rooms
Please leave your shoes in the lower entrance lobby.
Both rooms are fire compliant and have smoke detectors. Smoking is not allowed within the house or bedrooms (outside in designated area is acceptable).
Windows need to be closed if you are going out as there are occasional strong winds on the hill.
There is complimentary tea and coffee in each room.
Spillages or accidents need to be reported please.
No meals are allowed to be consumed within the bedrooms, but small snacks can be.
Longer staying guests (greater than 3 days) can ask for fresh towels if needed.
Room security is guest’s responsibility with keys provided.
As we are a sustainable energy house we hope you will regulate room temperature with the radiator controls and not leave widows open.
Personal media devices should be at a low volume after 10:30. There is a very good 4G signal for most networks and we have wifi but it is slow.
 
Breakfast  and lunch.
ALLERGIES AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS. Guests MUST inform us of any concerns on the menu choices form.
This is not a professional kitchen and presence of certain allergens cannot be excluded but we will be mindful of your advice.
Breakfast is between 8.00 to last sitting at 9.30. Your menu choice should be left the night before in the tray in the entrance
Guests can eat outdoors in nice weather on the terrace or by the yurt. This will be a continental breakfast on a tray with a pot of tea or coffee.
 
Guests can request a packed lunch, for a fee, ideally on the evening before (fruit, sandwich and cake).
 
Walkers and cyclists.
There is an area with a hose available for cleaning bikes.
There is an area to leave you cycles secure overnight but we take no responsibility for theft or damage.
If you have wet clothes we have a dehumidifier available for a small fee.
Walkers can leave muddy boots, gaiters and jackets in a small specifically reserved area next to the house; please do not use your bedrooms for walking gear. Laundry service can be can be offered.
 
Local services
Petrol-5 miles, shops-3 miles, pubs with food-3 miles, hospital-5mile, cash machine-5miles.
 
Damage
We reserve the right to charge for any damage incurred and will amend prices and facilities at our discretion.
 
Checkout
Guest should be vacating the room by 11:00 having already settled the balance. Keys are to be left in the room door or in the tray in the lobby.  Any suggestions about your stay are appreciated either directly or in the comments book.
